Set Up Number Series for Resources

This section describes how to set up a number series for resources.

The setup described in this chapter is used to align the assigned number in the number series of employees and resources. The goal is that, for example, employee 00001 can be assigned to resource 00001. For more information on how to create an employee and a resource at the same time, see the chapter Create Employee and Resource.

To set up the number series for resources, do the following:

1. Open the search (ALT+Q) and enter Resources Setup.
2. Click on the corresponding search result.
3. The Resources Setup page is displayed.
4. Under the Numbering tab, in the Resource Nos. field, expand the dropdown menu.
5. Click on the Select from full list option. The Select - No. Series List window is displayed.
6. For the number series used, deactivate the Default Nos. checkbox.
7. For the number series used, activate the Manual Nos. check box.
